Prof. Ionuț Purica

Born on 20th November 1954 in Bucharest. He finished the Polytechnic of Bucharest, Faculty of Energy (1979). Ph.D. in engineering in 1987 and Ph.D. in Economy (2007). He is correspondent member of the Academy of Scientists from Romania and member of the Romanian Association for the Club of Rome.

Specialization: Canada 1988; Italy 1990-1992; Great Britain 1994; S.U.A. (World Bank) 1996, 1997, 1998.

He conducted research in the fabrication of components of nuclear reactors CANDU and VVER440. He provided consultancy and taught in the domain of risk analysis for energy systems for advanced studies and Master’s program of the Polytechnic University of Bucharest, carrying out research programs and management of projects regarding energy systems in the Romanian Electricity Company and World Bank.
