Membru corespondent al Academiei Române Gheorghe Ștefan

Gheorghe M. Ștefan, 23 aprilie 1948, vicepreşedinte, apoi membru în board, de la fondare. Inginer, Profesor Universitar la Universitatea Politehnică Bucureşti, Facultatea de Electronică, Telecomunicaţii şi Tehnologia Informaţiei. Membru corespondent al Academiei Române.

Gheorghe M. Ștefan teaches digital design in Politehnica University of Bucharest. Its scientific interests are focused on digital circuits, computer architecture and parallel computation. In the 1980s, he led a team which designed and implemented the Lisp machine DIALISP. In 2003-2009 he worked as Chief Scientist and co-founder in Brightscale, a Silicon Valley start-up which developed the BA1024, a many-core based chip for the HDTV market.
