Prof. Adrian Curaj

Born on 14th October 1958 in Bucharest and started his collaboration with BSUF in 2010. He is professor at the Department of Research Management and Director of the Strategic Management and Quality Assurance in Higher Education at the Polytechnics University of Bucharest and also Head of The Department of UNESCO for Policies in Science and Innovation at the National School of Political Studies and Public Administration – NSPSPA. As consultant for the World Bank, UNESCO, UNIDO, ETF (European Training, Foundation) and European Commission for tertiary education, policies in science and innovation and foresight, he coordinated numerous research projects and published scientific articles and books. Two of the inventions, to which he is co-author, received golden medals at the International Salon of Inventions from Geneva, in 2009 and 2913.

He is member of RISE – Research, Innovation and Science Policy Experts HLEG at CE, member of EFFLA- European Forum for Forward Looking Activities (2012-2014) and member of PEOPLE Advisory Group (2007-2012), at CE. In present, he is member of the National Commission of Romania for UNESCO, member of ARCOR- Romanian Association for the Club of Rome, member of the Board of Directors of U.S. Fulbright Commission of in Romania, being the representing Romania in the Bologna Follow-up Group.
